Professor Quah is a member of the 亚博app下载 IDEAS Advisory Board and former head of the 亚博app下载 IDEAS Southeast Asia programme, which became the 亚博app下载 Saw Swee Hock Southeast Asia Centre.
He joined the National University of Singapore in 2015.
